Candidate Profile

Abena Pokuaa Amoah-Boaitey

“Ejisu Broni”

Candidate for National Vice Chairperson, New Patriotic Party (NPP)

Abena Pokuaa Amoah-Boaitey, popularly known as “Ejisu Broni,” is a seasoned grassroots politician, campaign strategist and accomplished hospitality and tourism executive with over 25 years of professional leadership experience. Her journey is one of service, resilience, leadership and commitment to the New Patriotic Party. She has been actively involved in the NPP since 2005, serving at constituency, regional and national levels, including as a member of the NPP National Campaign Team. Her political experience has taken her from the grassroots to the national campaign platform, giving her a deep understanding of party organisation, mobilisation and the realities faced by party members and communities across Ghana, particularly in the Ashanti and Northern Regions.

Beyond politics, Abena brings extensive international and corporate leadership experience in hospitality, tourism, management, human resources and training. She holds a BA (Hons.) in Hospitality and Tourism Management and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education and Training. Her professional career includes experience in the United Kingdom, senior roles at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Oak Plaza Hotel, and service as the former Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Golden Beach Hotels. Her executive experience has strengthened her skills in strategic management, organisational development, financial oversight, people development, training, customer service and stakeholder engagement. These experiences have shaped her into a disciplined, results-oriented and people-centred leader who understands that effective leadership must be demonstrated through responsibility, accountability and measurable impact.

Abena’s political strength lies in her deep connection to the grassroots and her belief that a leader must know the people they seek to lead. Throughout her political journey, she has worked directly with party members and communities, participated in regional and national campaigns, supported grassroots mobilisation and contributed to community development initiatives, including education and local infrastructure. She believes that party members should not only be remembered during election periods but should remain valued, heard and engaged throughout the political cycle. As a woman, a campaigner, a professional leader and a committed party member, she brings a strong voice for women and youth participation, greater inclusion, unity, discipline and stronger communication between the national leadership and the grassroots.

As she offers herself for the position of National Vice Chairperson, Abena Pokuaa Amoah-Boaitey brings a combination of political experience, professional leadership, grassroots credibility and a proven commitment to service. She believes the NPP needs leadership that listens, understands the people, strengthens its structures and prepares consistently for electoral success. Her vision is to help build a more united, responsive, organised and inclusive party in which constituency and regional structures are strengthened, grassroots concerns reach the national leadership, women and young people are given meaningful opportunities to contribute, and every party member feels connected to the party they serve. Delegates should vote for Abena because she offers not merely a position, but a record of service and a commitment to work with the people, for the people and alongside the structures of the party. Her guiding principle remains simple: leadership is not about being above the people; it is about being with the people, understanding them and serving them.
